Van Gaal advises Tymoschuk to move![]() Thu Jul 22
The Ukrainian only arrived 12 months ago when he was signed by Van Gaal's predecessor Jurgen Klinsmann from Zenit St Petersburg, but he found his first team opportunities limited under the Dutchman last season. And Van Gaal doesn't see any light at the end of the tunnel for the 31-year-old. "Tymoschuk's prospects are not very bright," he told Kicker magazine. "(Bastian) Schweinsteiger is in the form of his life, (Mark) van Bommel is the captain. It looks tough. "If a player doesn't play or doesn't have bright prospects then I would leave if I were them. "I will not say to anybody who wants to leave that he is not allowed to, apart from my captain and three or four other players." Tymoschuk made just 21 appearances last season, of which only 11 were from the beginning. He didn't start a single match in 2010. |
